For a default installation to the local C: drive, the out-of-the-box custom hatches in the United States are placed here:Ĭ:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Autodesk\\enu\Support\pats This makes it very easy to make the hatches you want available, and make the others "go away", by simply moving the individual files you do not want to a folder that is not on the AutoCAD search path. Ĭustom hatches can be "anywhere", but the folder in which they are stored do have to be on your AutoCAD search path. There were some comments about the length of time it took to load the dialog where you choose a pattern, due to the number of patterns in the file, so from 2005 forward, the additional patterns are provided as individual custom pattern files, and show up on the Custom tab of the Hatch Pattern Palette dialog. What version of ADT are you using? ADT 2004 included these two patterns, along with a number of other architectural patterns, in the acad.pat file.
